I picked this audiobook up at the library because I have always been interested in the Vietnam War era. HarperCollins Publishers, February 2011. I am personally drawn to books featuring Asian culture: A Single Shard, Snowflower and the Secret Fan, and Double Luck are a few of my favorites. Inside Out & Back Again By Thanhha Lai Published 2011 by HarperCollins. This is the case with Inside Out & Back Again, the story of 10 year-old Ha who leaves Viet Nam with her mother and brothers after the fall of Saigon and finds herself in the inexplicable world of Alabama. Inside Out & Back Again intrigued me because it was from the perspective of a South Vietnamese refugee. I also just began INSIDE OUT AND BACK AGAIN by Thanhha Lai. I have been anticipating reading this book for quite some time and cannot wait to delve further! HmmI don't know how to do special characters in here, so the main character's name is not going to be spelled properly. Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai was released in 2011 by Harper for mid-grade readers, and it won a Newbury Honor & a National Book Award.
